Corrosion and sensing

Corrosion and sensing research covers the provision of wear and friction sensing in tribological systems such as bearings, gears, valves, pistons and joints etc, where wear and friction are two of the main material and energy saving issues.  Sensing and condition monitoring of wear and friction can provide warnings for lubrication condition improvement or enable other alleviation actions to be taken to avoid catastrophic failures of the entire component or machine.  Keywords:
