This project aims to develop a practical and effective sensor system that can be applied at the loaded human body and machine interface in lower limb prosthetics. Based on a novel sensor technology, such a system can be potentially exploited to improve amputee health and care as well as prosthesis outcomes. The platform sensor technology has also potential to be expanded to many other biomedical areas including e.g. orthotics, rehabilitation etc.
