Project Overview

Laser shock peening (LSP) used to improve fatigue life and FOD resistance

Eigenstrain technique is used to determine the residual stress

- capture plastic strain introduced by LSP

- this is introduced as a misfit strain

(eigenstrain) in a quasi-static FE model
