Established 27th February 2001, the RNLI ATP creates an environment and culture for co-operative research and education within the RNLI and the University on subjects of common interest to the two institutions, namely maritime engineering sciences, maritime safety and maritime operations.

  • Fatigue design procedure for lifeboats
  • Repair manual for the RNLI fleet
  • Design manual for RIBs
  • Safety case format for lifeboats under extreme loads
