Research project: Sound field reproduction with non-uniform source distributions

The main goal of this project in collaboration with the Electronics and Telecommunications Research Institute (Republic of Korea) is to develop sound field reconstruction technologies for multi-channel audio systems that include a non-regular loudspeaker arrangement. The aim is to provide a high quality surround sound as well as a good performance in terms of localization of the virtual audio image. The research includes also the study of the reproduction of complex sound sources.
