The city of Southampton is a comfortable, but fun place to live. You get the best of both worlds here.

As I’m an international student, I was worried about not fitting in and finding it difficult to connect with people. My fears were overcome when I met all the amazing people on my course and in my accommodation. Everybody made me feel comfortable which made it easier for me to feel at home.

I chose to study at Southampton as it seemed to be one of the best universities for Audiology.

Why did you choose to come and study at Southampton?

I chose to study at Southampton as it seemed to be one of the best universities for Audiology.

What is it like studying here?

I feel very comfortable and safe in Southampton. I find it lovely that there are lots of green spaces but there is also a city-type life, depending on where you go. You get the best of both worlds in that sense.

How do you rate study facilities at the University?

I would highly rate the study facilities at the University. The university’s library is open 24 hours nearing exam time and I find this very helpful. The buildings I have access to are all consistently maintained and cleaned making it an environment everybody can enjoy themselves in.

What are you enjoying most about your course?

My favourite part of my course is that there are only about 15 people in my class which means we each get a fair amount of individual attention. We also have a “skills lab” which is a good place for the Audiology students to meet up, study together and practise the different procedures our course requires us to learn. I believe these two factors allow us to build our knowledge and skills more efficiently.
