Hi, I'm Georgina Jacobs, a final year student for MSci Healthcare Science (Audiology) at the University of Southampton.

While on placement, a patient told me that hearing aids had changed her from `just existing' to `living again'. This for me was the highlight because it made me realise the difference that I could make to people's lives through the skills and knowledge that I was gaining on my course and placement. The patient's comment truly had a profound positive effect.
