Dr Louise Rayment is a Visiting Fellow in English at the University of Southampton.

I completed my BA and my MA at Queen Mary College, University of London, and my PhD at the University of Southampton.

My research interests include sixteenth-century drama and performance, material culture, manuscripts and social and professional networks.  I am particularly interested in the representation of artistic networks in manuscript.

My current research project examines performance in the London parish of St. Mary-at-Hill during the early to mid sixteenth century.

I am a member of the Centre for Medieval and Renaissance Culture at Southampton, and the founder and manager of the research network 'Manuscript Culture, 1450-1700'. The network aims to provide opportunities for interdisciplinary discussion to enable scholars to share both theoretical perspectives and practical approaches to working with Medieval and Renaissance manuscripts.
