English and Humanities at the University of Southampton will on 15 and 16 April host two workshops as part of its ongoing Arts and Humanities Research Council-funded project 'The Indian Ocean: Narratives in Literature and Law'.
Speakers at the workshops on Piracy in the Indian Ocean and Atlantic Worlds and Law and Lawlessness in the Indian Ocean will include specialists in history, literature, law, modern languages, archaeology, and the Somali poet Ubax Cristina Ali-Farah.
