- BA in TEFL at Hue School of Pedagogy - University of Hue - Viet Nam (2002 - 2006)
- MA in Linguistics at University of Da Nang - Viet Nam (2008 - 2011)

I have worked as an English language lecturer for 5 years (2006-2011) in Vietnam before starting my research in Southampton. My teaching experience includes lecturing at different universities and educational institutes such as Da Nang Architecture University, the College of Foreign Languages of the University of Da Nang, Da Nang Polytechnic College, Nam Hai Lang High School in Quang Tri Province and Hai Lang Secondary School, also in Quang Tri Province.

Research interests

I am currently researching 'Shakespeare in Viet Nam' for a PhD in English supervised by Professor Ros King. My PhD research focuses on investigating translation theory, performance as translation and using performance as a new teaching method that offers students a chance to play various roles and characters in famous plays and dramas in English language teaching. I am interested in the history of translation in Viet Nam and am currently investigating recent achievements and problems as well as looking at possible solutions when comparing semantic features in English with Vietnamese translations of Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet.
