Caroline Bergvall, poet and artist

Dr Caroline Bergvall (English, Southampton), was awarded a fellowship under the Arts and Humanities Research Council's  Fellowships for the Creative and Performing Arts scheme, supported by a grant of £250,000, to work on this project. It focused on the ways in which bi-lingualism and multi-lingualism can shape the imagination and the potential for a new cultural politics.

Caroline Bergvall is a well-known poet and artist whose work has been the subject of essays by several leading critics and has been exhibited in major galleries.
