Xiamen University and TKK's 15 year anniversary

In October 2018, the Faculty of Social Sciences of the University of Southampton represented by Professor Sabu Padmadas, Associate Dean International, Dr. Chris Downey, Deputy Head of Education and Ms. Song Utz, Senior Manager of the Faculty International Office visited Xiamen University to discuss potential expansion of academic partnership with the School of Economics and Wang Yanan Institute for Studies in Economics (WISE). The visit was highly successful in strengthening the bilateral academic relations between the two institutions.

During the visit, Professor Padmadas and Ms. Utz were invited by President Wang Ruifang, Tan Kah Kee College of Xiamen University to participate as guests of honour for their 15th anniversary. The celebrations were spectacular and had a majestic Chinese style opening, followed by professional and flamboyant stage performances by students and alumni. The evening full of celebrations was made memorable and colourful with the esteemed presence of President Wang together with chairpersons, professors, alumni, and people from all walks of life.
