Visit to GRD Institute of Management Coimbatore

Representatives from the University of Southampton’s Faculty of Social Sciences had a productive and positive visit to GR Darmoran Institute of Management, Coimbatore in January.

Prof Sabu Padmadas (Associate Dean International Social Sciences); Prof Sri Kandiah (Southampton Business School); Prof Martin Dyke (Head of Southampton Education School); Dr Pathik Pathak (Director of the Social Impact Lab); and Donna Haynes (South Asia Lead of the University International Office), met with Prof Krishna Kumar Ramachandran, as well as academic staff at GRD.

The team also participated as guest speakers at an International Conference on Sustainable Development hosted by GRD.

The University of Southampton delegation had a very successful meeting with GRD, with specific plans to collaborate in the areas of social entrepreneurship and education. They look forward to develop this exciting partnership, with plans for a visit to GRD as part of the University’s Spark India programme in September of this year.
