Prior to joining SYSU, Professor GUO worked at Dalian Maritime University, where Southampton shares a very close relationship. Associate Professor LIAO Yanpin, had also visited Southampton in 2007 and is currently vice director for the Centre for International Maritime and Oceans Law. Additionally, Mr Lei Wei who works with the School of Law’s partner and exchange programmes joined the visit.
As part of our discussions, we looked at continuing to welcome SYSU students and also opportunities for staff exchange.
Following our meeting, the team were delighted to join SYSU colleagues for an exquisite lunch, which included the highlight of Enoki mushrooms with Hainan island chilli. A true delicacy!
