Faculty International Office visits India for student recruitment activities

In May, Ms Katie Bizley represented the Faculty International Office of Social Sciences to attend agent fairs across India and meet with prospective students, along with Donna Haynes, Regional Director for India in the University’s International Office. The exhibitions were located in many of the large cities including Chennai, Bangalore, Coimbatore, Kochi, Delhi, Pune, Hyderabad, & Mumbai!

During these fairs, Katie engaged with the students by sharing stories of her own student experience. She discussed the topic of university life and answered questions about studying at Southampton. She was also able to provide helpful advice about the application process and on what the students would need to prepare for their journey; such as arranging accommodation, booking our meet and greet airport pick up, and what to expect on arrival.

The University of Southampton intends to visit India again soon and the FIO looks forward to continuing to meet and counsel students from India.
