From the 12th to the 13th October this year, Song Pan Utz, Senior Manager Faculty International Office of Social Sciences, Miriam Gómez López, Faculty International Officer of Partnerships, and Professor Martin Broad, Head of Business School, visited Jiangxi University of Finance and Economics (JUFE) to represent the University of Southampton in the JUFE Study Abroad Fair.

The fair is held annually as a platform for JUFE's overseas partners to meet with the potential applicants who are interested in studying abroad. It was a great chance for the delegation to meet with the university executives and heads of schools, as well as encouraging the next cohort of JUFE students to choose Southampton for the next step in their academic journey.

The opening ceremony of the JUFE Study Abroad Fair was commenced with a speech by Martin on behalf of all the university representatives. It was a special honour and a good indication of our strong partnership with JUFE.   The delegation had productive conversations with about 500 students, answering any queries they may have about studying at Southampton. Song and Martin then gave presentations about Southampton and the Faculty after the fair.

This was a very successful visit and the Faculty International Office looks forward to continuing to strengthen our partnership with JUFE.
