Faculty International Office visits Cyprus for student recruitment activities
In October, Ms Katie Bizley represented the Faculty International Office of Social Sciences to visit Nicosia, Cyprus and visited several schools to meet with prospective students. Dr Haris Psarras, who is a Lecturer in Law at Southampton, joined Katie on this trip.
Katie and Haris also took part in the British Council’s exhibition, working with our Cyrpus agent Photiades and met a good number of parents and prospective students. Katie and Haris very much enjoyed engaging in lively discussions with the students and their families. During these conversations, they provided course details, as well as helpful advice about the application process, and on what the students would need to prepare for their journey. Katie also answered many questions about studying in Southampton and shared stories of her own experience as a student.
The University of Southampton intends to visit Cyprus again soon and the Faculty International Office will continue to meet and counsel students.
