Faculty of Social Sciences visits Xiamen University

In October 2019, the Faculty of Social Sciences represented by Professor Brenda Hannigan, Head of law School, and Song Pan Utz, Senior Manager of the Faculty International Office of Social Sciences, visited Xiamen University.

As Xiamen University is one of our closest partners, the Faculty of Social Sciences has many collaborations with several schools at Xiamen. This was also Song’s first returning visit to Xiamen in her new role as the University of Southampton’s Key Account Manager for Xiamen. Her role is to continue to strengthen the bilateral academic relations between the two institutions, as well as managing the joint programmes.

It is a delightful visit to see our old friends at Xiamen’s Law School and School of Economics.  Engaging conversations were carried out on how to deepen our collaborations.  Song gave a presentation and ran a Q&A session for the new incoming students. We look forward to welcoming them in Southampton!
