Southampton Business School offers students the chance to participate in Virtual Career Fairs
The Faculty International Office team wanted to share an exciting opportunity for international students in the Faculty of Social Science, especially those of you who that currently, or will be soon, looking for a job.
The University is collaborating with the EFMD to offer students the chance to interact with a range of large organisations and major employers (see below) from around the world, by participating in their virtual career fairs . This is opportunity is being promoted across the Faculty by Southampton Business School.
What is a "virtual career fair"?
A virtual career fair is a virtual event that allows employers to connect with job seekers in an online environment, rather than a physical one. Attending a career fair can be challenging when there is a geographic distance between recruiters and job seekers. Using interactive features such as webcasts, live chat, chat rooms and more, virtual career fairs are breaking down geographical barriers and extending their reach to meet high calibre candidates. They also serve as a fantastic mechanism for job seekers to "learn more" about an organisation without the need or ability to travel.
Which organisations will I have the chance to meet?
The EFMD's Spring series comprises 12 fairs covering five sector-specific industries in 2 major geographical regions (EMEA and Asia Pacific - APAC), and runs until 4th June 2020. Students will have the chance to interact with firms such as Pepsico, Gartner, Coca Cola and Airbus.
I would like to find out more. Who should I contact?
