Induction Meeting 8th October 2020

On the 8th October 2020, the Faculty International Office and teaching staff from across the Faculty of Social Sciences took part in a virtual meeting to give a warm welcome to international partnership students arriving for the 2020/21 academic year.

The purpose of this year's induction was to give the students the advice and support that they need in order to succeed in their studies.

The academics in attendance included: Prof Sabu Padmadas, Associate Dean (International) Social Sciences; Prof Nikos Tzavidis, Head of school for Economic, Social and Political Sciences; Prof Corrado Giulietti, Head of Economics; Dr Jan Podivinsky, Director of Internationalisation in Economics; Prof Marika Taylor, Head of Mathematical Sciences; Dr Houduo Qi, Director of Internationalisation in Mathematics; Prof Emily Reid, Interim Head of Southampton Law School, and Dr Haris Psarras, Lecturer in Law; who offered guidance for the students as they begin their journey of study in Southampton.
