Faculty International Office hosts an online conference with Xiamen University

On 14th October 2020, Song Pan Utz, Senior Manager of Faculty International Office of Social Sciences, hosted an online conference with Southampton's long-term key partner, Xiamen University.

During the conference, colleagues from Law, Maths, Business, Education and Economic, Social and Political Sciences exchanged insights about higher education with the six corresponding schools at Xiamen. We explored ways to support each other through the special challenges posed by COVID-19 and continue to promote our joint programmes.

The Faculty International Office team would like to give our special thanks to Mr. Keith Johnstone, Southampton University’s Director of International Relations and Development, for joining this faculty initiative. Our international peers are invaluable.

Since the conference, there have been several follow-up meetings among Faculty of Social Sciences' schools and their counterparties in Xiamen.  A student exchange agreement is being developed currently between Southampton Business School and Xiamen’s School of Finance.
