Weekend Excursion Programme: Portsmouth Historic Dockyard Event

Come and explore the exciting historic dockyard in Portsmouth.- take a journey back in time! Open the door to British naval history past and present! With naval ships, HMS Warrior and Nelson's flagship, the HMS Victory you will get a taste of what it was like for the 19th century British navy. The Mary Rose will take you back even further to Henry VIII's reign where you will be transported back in time. Be sure to stop by the Mast climbing experience, and if you have time take a break in one of the many on site cafes. Finish off with a Harbour Boat Cruise! An exciting way to see the local area and immerse yourself in its history! Departing and returning from the University interchange on Saturday 27th January 2018 from 9am for the all inclusive price of £65 (please note lunch will not be provided). Payment will required up front to secure your place and places will be allocated on a first come first served basis. Unfortunately we will not be able to offer refunds. Proposed Itinerary: 9am: Coach pick up from the University Interchange. 10am -2.30pm: Free to explore the Portsmouth Historic Dockyard - makes sure you remember to have some lunch. 2.30pm: Harbour Boat Tour. 3.30pm-5pm: Further time to explore the Historic Dockyard or visit Gunwharf Quays (shopping complex, short 5 minute walk away). 5pm: Coach pick up and return to the University Interchange.
