Broad Interest Next Generation Sequencing Symposium

This year we have a new half-day format with Afternoon Tea! All the usual rapid fire research round, exhibitor stands and of course regional and external speakers. Our guest speaker this year is Dr Richard Scott, Clinical Lead for Rare Disease at Genomics England. Local delegates to include research colleagues from across University Faculties, Wessex Genome Medicine Centre, PHE Porton Down and National Oceanographic Centre. The IfLS is again kindly supporting our Shortest Grant Application awarding £2,000 for NGS research.

The Heartbeat Education Suite, University Hospital Southampton campus.  Directions will be sent out to registered attendees nearer the date.


We will have various sponsored stands.


We will be having a Shortest Grant Application competition and you could win £2,000 for research. Competition rules can be found under useful downloads below. Applications must be 100 words or less, plus a project title, and be sent to by Friday 11 May 2018.
