Celebrating 30 years of GeoData

Guests were invited to celebrate 30 years of GeoData at the University of Southampton on 11th July 2014. The celebratory drinks reception was marked with a speech by Professor Tony Brown, research director of GeoData. Over the last thirty years GeoData remained the most visible and successful applied unit in any Geography Department in the UK and has been the mainstay of applied environmental and geographical research within the University. Although firmly within Geography and Environment it is also outward facing – as part of our enterprise activities and the creation of impact.
