Alexandra Frosch is a research project manager within Geography at the University of Southampton.

Alexandra joined WorldPop in September 2019 as Research Project Manager. Her professional background is in research management, providing expert advice and specialist support across the research project lifecycle including strategically important large-scale initiatives. For 13 years, she has been working closely with principal investigators on large grants including centres and international interdisciplinary collaborations, coordinating the set-up of awards and sub-contracts, leasing with programme managers at various funding organisations, reconciling and forecasting project finances and reporting to funders.

In 2016, Alexandra moved from London to Southampton where she joined the National Centre for Research Methods (NCRM) as centre manager. In this role, she was responsible for the professional delivery of all operational and financial support functions across the centre's three sites in Southampton, Manchester and Edinburgh. Previous positions included working as research coordinator at the Wellcome Trust Centre for Neuroimaging, University College London, and senior administrator at the Centre for Longitudinal Studies, UCL Institute of Education. Alex graduated from the University of Leipzig, Germany in 2000 with a master’s degree in sociology, political sciences and cultural studies.

Alexandra is also an end of life doula and membership secretary of End of Life Doula (EOLDUK).
