Dr Sien Van der Plank BSc, MSc
Senior Research Assistant in GIS and remote sensing and environmental social science (SARTRAC project)

Sien van der Plank is currently a Senior Research Assistant within Geography and Environmental Science at the University of Southampton. She has researched environmental management across conservation, political, mining and hazard contexts since 2014. She is currently completing her PhD thesis on coastal flood risk management with the Faculty of Engineering and Physical Sciences, University of Southampton, and has been a member of staff in Geography and Environmental Science since 2020.
