Yang Lu is a research fellow in geography working on precision agriculture.
Yang has a research background in remote sensing of water resources. He completed his PhD in water management in Delft University of Technology in 2019, where he focused on improving surface heat flux estimates by joint assimilation of remotely-sensed land surface temperature and soil moisture data. From February 2019 he started the new role of research fellow in hydrological forecasting. His current research centers around precision agriculture with a focus on dryland environment, including crop modelling, forcing data downscaling and data assimilation.
