Hi, I'm Emma-Louise Staughton and I studied BSc Environmental Sciences within Engineering and the Environment at the University of Southampton.

I now work for the Met Office as a military weather forecaster at RAF Benson.

At Southampton

While I was studying for my undergraduate degree at Southampton I chose modules on the Environmental Change pathway. I was interested in the social impacts of climate change but also the scientific reasons behind them, and I was keen to take this up in my career.

My Career So Far

My interest in science lead me to study for a Masters Degree at University of Reading in Applied Meteorology. I now work for the Met Office as a military weather forecaster at RAF Benson, Oxfordshire, but I am soon to be posted to Larkhill, Salisbury, a Royal Artillery base.
