Professor Brown shares forensic expertise with Radio 4
On Wednesday 16th May 2012 General Radko Mladic went on trial in The Hague on eleven counts of war crimes which included the Screbrenica massacres.
Part of the evidence against him is soil and pollen which links many smaller mass graves to execution sites and earlier large mass graves.
This work was led by Professor Tony Brown, Director of the Palaeo Laboratory in the Geography and Environment Academic, who talked about his work on Radio 4s "Material World" programme.
