Emeritus Professor Keith Barber has sadly died. He was greatly respected and nominated in recent years by Geography alumni as one of their favourite lecturers. He also made important contributions to understanding the relationships between peat stratigraphy and climate change.

The funeral is due to take place at Southampton Crematorium East Chapel at 12.30 on Tuesday 14 February and the reception afterwards will be from 2pm at the Nondescript Club in Lyndhurst.

Anyone wishing to pay their respects and attend the reception are encouraged to contact Professor Tony Brown
