Southampton student researching how microplastics can end up in farmland
Freya Radford is a second year PhD student in Geography and Environmental Science. Freya is researching micro-plastic pollution in agricultural land through organic fertilisers made from sewage sludge.
Watch the video to see Freya working in a muddy field and in her lab, explaining how she identifies micro-plastics in sewage sludge that is dispersed on farmland and what effect this is having on our soil.
