We are delighted to welcome Dr Vanessa Lawrence CB to open our new Graduate Research Facility within Geography and Environment here at the University of Southampton.
The new Facility provides a modern research work environment for up to 60 Graduate Doctoral students as well as being a focus for visiting scientists.

Dr Vanessa Lawrence CB ,Ordnance Survey,Dr Vanessa Lawrence has a geographical background, which has led to a high profile and distinguished career as Director General and Chief Executive of Ordnance Survey, Honorary Vice-President of The Geographical Association and a member of the Council of the Royal Geographical Society, as well as a Member of our own University Council.
