Veronique van den Berghe will be talking about open data which can be freely used, reused and redistributed are crucial to accelerate the pace of scientific discovery. However, sharing data effectively is not an easy and straightforward task. The Data Descriptor article type at Scientific Data makes data more discoverable, interpretable, reusable and citable. At the journal we help authors to effectively share and describe their data from diverse fields ranging from the biological, biomedical, chemical, physical and environmental sciences, as well as quantitative social sciences and engineering.
