Whether you are a teacher, a careers adviser or have a personal interest, Geography and Environmental Science is involved in a range of activities and events to help you find out more.
We offer training in Google Earth and iPads for fieldwork with sessions aimed at teachers. The emphasis of both these activities is to feed into their ability to use school-level geographic information systems (GIS). This activity is free of charge if your group size is 10+ and within easy reach of Southampton.
I enjoyed the carbon footprint activity as it was very active. It also helped me to understand the concepts as we could see the amount of carbon dioxide we were responsible for producing.
