Money matters

 

As a postgraduate student you will need to pay annual tuition fees to the University for your programme of study. You may be able to apply for funding to help you cover your costs.

When planning your finances, you will also need to consider other expenses such as living costs, accommodation fees and study materials. Visit the University’s postgraduate fees and funding page for more information.

Postgraduate Loans (PGL) for Master's study

Postgraduate loans are now available for UK and EU students studying a postgraduate degree and research masters programmes.

These loans are worth up to £11,222 per student.

Scholarships

Fully funded scholarship for MSc AGISRIS

Applicants to MSc AGISRS may be eligible to apply for a fully funded scholarship under the Commonwealth Shared Scholarship Scheme. The Commonwealth Scholarship Commission offers scholarships which provide full funding for tuition fees, fares and living costs. These scholarships are available to students from least developed and lower middle income Commonwealth countries for select Masters programmes. The University of Southampton welcomes multiple Commonwealth Scholars each year. The application round for 2018 scholarships has now closed.

Canon Collins Scholarship Programme

Postgraduate Research Scholarship (Presidential Scholarships)

The Postgraduate Research Scholarship (Presidential Scholarships) fund runs annually and is administered by the Doctoral College.

The scholarships will cover full fees, a stipend and a research training and support grant for up to 3.5 years (or 84 months pro rata for part time students).
