Fiona Bowler is a research assistant within Geography and Environmental Science at the University of Southampton

Fiona Bowler graduated from the University of Southampton with a BA (Hons) in History in 2017. Her dissertation explored the experiences of men involved in Britain’s Christmas Island nuclear tests, drawing upon qualitative interviews and oral histories from Dr Alexis-Martin’s Nuclear Families Project. Since October 2016 Fiona has provided support as Research Assistant for Nuclear Families under Dr Becky Alexis-Martin, helping to conduct interviews, analyse data, run workshops, and write papers and reports. From October 2017, she will be studying MA History at Southampton, focussing on the Cold War and the history of nuclear weapons.
