Kashif Majeed Salik is a postgraduate research student within Geography and Environmental Science at the University of Southampton.
Kashif Majeed Salik did his MPhil degree in Agricultural Economics from the University of Agriculture, Faisalabad, Pakistan. He has over 15-year experience of managing field work, projects, data management and research in a diverse range of governmental and non-governmental organizations.
He has been working in Sustainable Development Policy Institute (SDPI) as a Senior Research Associate in PRISE project. He is also involved in a number of international/regional projects, including food security/system, socio-economic vulnerability assessments, infrastructure, water resources development, climate change and environment as a project leader, country team leader, and team member.
Before joining SDPI, he worked as Senior Scientific Officer for the Global Change Impact Study Centre, Islamabad from 2003 to 2011. His research interests span diverse socio-economic and ecological issues, such as ecosystems and biodiversity, climate change, food systems, socio-economic vulnerabilities, infrastructure, water, and environment. His research papers have been published in many national and international journals. Besides, he has worked for the International Water Management Institute (IWMI) as a Junior Researcher/Economist in the irrigation infrastructure development and assessment team.
