GeoData is a University-based research and consultancy group, which specialises in environmental research, data management, analysis and processing.

Group Overview

GeoData's mission is to provide integrated applied research and consultancy services for a sustainable environment and society.

GeoData’s approach is founded on a commitment to integrated, multi-disciplinary projects that emphasise the application of science and evidence-based approaches to support environmental decision-making and policy development. With a strong focus on database, web and geospatial data handling and spatial data infrastructures GeoData promotes the data sharing and collaboration. Drawing upon the academic expertise and its linkages with other leading organisaitons GeoData aims to promote the application of science to management and policy, within the environmental and social sectors.

GeoData works in close cooperation with international orgainsations, Government, agencies and commercial sectors both in the UK and overseas. 

Through its in-house specialists, associated academics and a range of consultant specialists, backed by leading technologies and resources, GeoData offers wide-ranging, flexible, solutions-based services. A commitment to participation, consultation and negotiation underpin these approaches.
