Chartered accountant

Chartered accountants provide information about financial records. They may work in financial reporting, auditing, forensic accounting, corporate finance, business recovery and insolvency, or accounting systems and processes.

Auditors concentrate on ensuring firms accounts are an accurate representation of their financial situation.

Smaller firms may allow you to gain general experience across all areas of accountancy, whereas large firms may expect you to specialise early.
