Growth Hormone 2004 Project

Injury study

The aim of this study was to collect blood samples from people who had been injured in order to establish what happens to the body's natural growth hormone biomarker levels following injury and how this could affect testing regimens. This information acted as a guide to determine the reference range used in the final anti-doping strategy.

This study is now complete and the results from this study have been published at the Journal of Clinical Endocrinology & Metabolism in 2008 (1).
