Xiamen University (XMU)
As one of the top universities in China, Xiamen University has been one of Southampton’s most strategically important international partners. Our joint research collaboration, particularly in Medicine, Physics & Astronomy and Engineering has yielded world-leading publications and made great contribution to human knowledge. In addition, Xiamen University has been Southampton’s Confucius Institute partner since 2011. Through this platform we have continued to promote culture awareness between the UK and China. This strong partnership has helped Southampton to establish a well-known brand in Asia, and meaningfully connects the east and the west through education and research.
