Shuttle buses

The University will be providing a free shuttle bus service, between Highfield Campus, Central Hall, and O2 Guildhall Southampton, for graduands and their guests. Shuttle buses will be operating every 15 minutes from 10:00 on Tuesday 12 December and from 8:00 on Wednesday 13 and Thursday 14 December.

The shuttle buses are running from:

Highfield Interchange – Houndwell Place (stop CQ) (Central Hall) – The Cenotaph (O2 Guildhall Southampton).

Central Hall is a five minute walk from Houndwell Place. Graduation staff will be at the stop to direct guests.

The shuttle service will be available for graduands and their guests, who are permitted to travel on the shuttle service or any UniLink bus on the 12-14 December 2023 by showing their e-ticket.

Please be aware that there will be festive activities taking place in Guildhall Square throughout Winter Graduation, and that the area will likely be busy during this time. This may disrupt your travel plans and parking arrangements, so make sure to allow extra time when planning your travel to and from the venues.

O2 Guildhall

Train: O2 Guildhall is a short walk from Southampton Central station, or there are buses available from the station to the venue.

Bus: The nearest bus stop is the Civic Centre bus stop in central Southampton, which is just outside the venue.

Shuttle buses will be operating every 15 minutes from 10:00 on Tuesday 12 December and from 8:00 on Wednesday 13 and Thursday 14 December.

Car parking: While there is no parking available at the O2 Guildhall, there are several car parks in the area that are less than a 10-minute walk from the venue.

Unfortunately, there are no reserved accessible parking spaces available at the Guildhall. Graduates or guests who have informed us of accessibility requirements can be dropped off on the forecourt, but the driver will need to use one of the car parks listed above.

The Civic Centre forecourt does have disabled bays for Blue Badge holders, but please note that the Civic Centre forecourt has a limit of two hours, so guests should use the car parks listed above.

Southampton Central Hall

Shuttle buses will be running 15 minutes from10:00 on Tuesday 12 December and from 8:00 on Wednesday 13 and Thursday 14 December.

Buses are also available from Southampton Central Station to Southampton Central Hall.

Car Parking: While there is no parking available at Southampton Central Hall, there are several car parks in the area that are less than a 10-minute walk from the venue.

Unfortunately, there are no reserved accessible parking spaces available at Southampton Central Hall.
