The St Cross Centre for the History and Philosophy of Physics’s conference on ‘Physics and the Great War’ takes place in Oxford on 13 June.
The Faculty of Humanities’ Philosophy professor Ray Monk is chairing the afternoon session; while in the morning History’s Adrian Smith is speaking on ‘Warfare and wind tunnel: engineers, physicists, and the evolution of combat aircraft 1914-1918’.
