Seminar delivered by Professor John Coggon
On 9 October 2019 HEAL invited Professor John Coggon from the University of Bristol who presented a paper titled ‘From Best Interests to Better Interests? Values, Unwisdom, and Objectivity in Mental Capacity Law’.
John Coggon is a founding member of the Centre for Health, Law, and Society at the University of Bristol. Professor Coggon’s primary research interests are in mental capacity law, and public health ethics and law. He has published widely on questions concerning the relationships between values, law, and policy in the contexts provided by both areas of study.
