Dr Melinee Kazarian invited to speak in Cork
Dr Melinee Kazarian, lecturer in law and director of the Centre for Health, Ethics and Law (HEAL), has been invited to speak at an Irish Research Council (IRC) funded workshop next month.
The workshop ‘Criminal responsibility for medical error – a helpful or harmful mechanism for delivering patient safety?” proposes to explore and examine criminal responsibility for medical error, and its impact (if any) on patient safety, and will take place on Friday 15th November 2019 at University College Cork. Dr Kazarian’s presentation will be titled ‘Is criminalisation useful in healthcare failings? A comparative perspective’.
