Professor John Coggon’s project, with the University of British Columbia, Canada, is examining the ethical implications of using the Internet to target young people at risk of STI/HIV infection, especially in rural communities.
Although such interventions towards sub-groups of the population is not a new strategy, little is known about may operate differently within and across targeted groups; there is also concern that these approaches may worsen health inequity.
