Nicky Wilson is a Lecturer within Health Sciences, University of Southampton and a Consultant Physiotherapist at King’s College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust.

High quality healthcare for people with musculoskeletal conditions improves quality of life. Physiotherapists have a key role to play in achieving this.

 Nicky’s teaching and clinical work focuses on the provision of high quality healthcare for people with musculoskeletal conditions. 

Research interests

Nicky’s research interests include:

  • The role of non-physician health professionals within the NHS workforce, including advanced clinical practice and non-medical prescribing.
  • Development and delivery of effective musculoskeletal services that meet the needs of the population they serve.
  • Critical approaches to investigating ‘problems’ associated with the organisation and delivery of healthcare.
