Dr Amanda Cummings
Senior Research Assistant

Dr Amanda Cummings is a Senior Research Assistant for Theme 6 of the NIHR Collaboration for Leadership in Applied Health Research and Care (CLAHRC) Wessex. Theme 6 is concerned with complexity and the patient experience at end of life.
Amanda obtained a degree in Medicine (BM) from the University of Southampton during which time she undertook a research project focusing on quality of life in children with nut allergy (& their mothers).
Amanda practiced medicine with Salisbury NHS Foundation Trust and Southern Health NHS Foundation Trust before joining Macmillan Cancer Support as an information and support specialist in 2012 and University of Southampton Health Sciences as a senior research assistant in 2014.
