Lecturer in Adult Nursing

Mr Andrew (‘Andy’) Richardson is a Lecturer in Adult Nursing in the School of Health Sciences. Andy trained and qualified as a nurse in the Royal Navy (RN) in 1985. In a career spanning 22 years, he worked in primary and secondary care: on ships, in medical centres and military hospitals. Andy’s clinical speciality is cardiac nursing, where his current interests is in risk factors for cardiovascular disease, behavioural cardiology and obstructive sleep apnoea.

Andy joined the University of Southampton in 2004.
