Gilly Mancz is a Senior Teaching Fellow at the University of Southampton with a clinical background as a Specialist Safeguarding Nurse and Health Visitor.
Gilly’s clinical background is as an Adult Nurse, Health Visitor and Specialist Safeguarding Nurse including experience in a multiagency safeguarding team. Her safeguarding experience includes that within Health Visiting, as well as working at Tier 4 of Children's Services (Child Protection/Child in Need), raising awareness of MET (missing, exploitation and trafficking) issues and working alongside children affected by MET.
Gilly is a senior teaching fellow in the School of Health Sciences and lead for the nursing skills provision across the pre-registration nursing programmes.
Gilly has worked in higher education for several years as a Lecturer and Senior Teaching Fellow. She is the module lead for the NPCG1028 Global and Public Health module in the undergraduate nursing curriculum and teaches on other modules across the pre-registration nursing curriculums, including Person Centred Nursing Practice and Context of Care. Gilly is also the lead for the nursing skills provision within Health Sciences.
